Tickets ain’t cheap to the end of the line I found a seat It must be a sign I see your smile in the midnight wind Nowhere to stop But somewhere to begin I feel the love the love the love When the train arrives When push comes to shove to shove to shove I’ll be right on time I’ll be right on time I see the sunset I feel the moonrise How many stops left Until I see your eyes I know I hurt you You know you hurt me too I’m down the track Now I’m on the move Now I’m on the move I feel the love the love the love When the train arrives When push comes to shove to shove to shove I’ll be right on time I’ll be right on time I see the sunset I feel the moonrise How many stops left Until I see your eyes I know I hurt you You know you hurt me too I’m down the track Now I’m on the move Now I’m on the move I feel the love the love the love When the train arrives When push comes to shove to shove to shove I’ll be right on time I’ll be right on time

Weather Man 03:30
I believe in universal love Even when the rain is crying from above Hot on the island Rough on the shore Cant I get a moment of silence? I hear you knock at the door I'll never give up I'll never succumb to your demand I hear him again The Weather Man Some days it's too hard to get out of bed I can hear the cold wind blowing in my head Hot on the island Rough on the shore Can I get a witness to sign this? I cant take anymore I'll never give up I'll never succumb to your demand He's at it again The Weather Man Don't listen to the Weather Man While there's a chance of early showers Down in the city runs hot The north is out of power While the south just feels forgot They'll never give up They'll never succumb to your demand He's at it again The Weather Man Talk about the weather

Surrender 04:38
Billy's in the city tonight, he's acting like a millionaire Saying, "Everything is cheap, and this and that is cool" And we can have our hearts desires Then along she comes, like a loaded gun Shooting advice Making Billy think twice, And maybe she's right And he can hear the horn of the night life Singing "Surrender to your heart" Surrender to the light Surrender to your hear tonight" He can feel her hand, like a velvet band, pull her away Turning night into day Like a scene in a play Then they start laughing at the same time Then they start laughing at the same time [CHORUS] He's got the devil pulling one way, but the evil doesn't stand a chance Against a spiritual woman, with a neon mind Who's turning darkness into sunshine [CHORUS]

My People 06:58
We can dance, and we can shout Until the break of dawn Upside down, and spinning round Or we can bring it home And if you're feeling alright You can shout You can lead us astray Just one taste of feeling alright And you wont have to pay, pay, pay now Im here with all of my people I'll make you fly, if you bring it home I'm here with all of my people Babe it's alright, if you make it alone Move your foot from front to side And baby raise up your hand You might find, you feel alright Although you don't understand And if you're losing control Listen to your bones, baby listen to your bones Just one try, and baby you know it you need it, you found it, you want it 'cause I'm here with all of my people I'll make you fly, if you bring it home I'm here with all of my people Babe it's alright, if you make it alone One mister, one sister, one brother Giving it all, for the people of the planet on im bringing it home, for the love for the money, for the time of your life Baby you got to know. I know what you say The music comes from inside. I dont care if they Take it away, 'cause it runs through my veins Like a river, I'm a rider Feel it building up inside your soul, like a love Like a fire, like a 747 I'm here with all of my people [VAMP] [WURLI SOLO]

Tomorrow 05:36
I tried to give you up You tried to leave me to We keep pretending like we’re gods Immune from all the past If you can see in my eyes Will you start believing me ? You say “I’m not surprised “ I be who I want to be Ride into the night Without a care There will be tomorrow Another Day Another night There will be tomorrow Don’t say goodbye There will be tomorrow Another day Another night like this again Another night like this again Oh Lord Running out of luck Down a dead-end street If you don’t catch when I fall I’m gonna land on my feet Gonna take as it comes Even when It's fast Now I’m kicking up the dust Making this good thing last Ride into the night Without a care There will be tomorrow Another Day Another night There will be tomorrow Don't say goodbye There will be tomorrow Another day Another night like this again Another night like this again Another like this Another like this again You know you got to give it up now

Ecstacy 07:15

about

It was hot. The sun was piecing through the drivers side window, turning his cheek pink as he drove onward towards the sea. The road ahead was completely empty. South Australia has a mysteriously vacant and magnetic mood out along It’s shore-line highways. A light breeze brought the mythical scent of summer. Driving is one of the greatest moments for any album to come to life. Listening in the car allows one to indulge in a dreamy auto pilot of nostalgia. Euphoric moments flash past, forest walks, nights at the disco, when a different kind of light as the sun now flickering across his face seemed to cast spells and when the promises of good times had no end.

The little valley town was now approaching. He slowly rolled passed the one silent cafe next to the old post office coming to rest in an empty car park. Down at the waters edge near the jetty, the sun was quiet now. It was time for it to duck behind the clouds and head to bed. Collecting his thoughts , he disembarked the old ute but not taking too long as to miss the sun setting behind the cliffs. He meandered up the old jetty to the very end and stared out into the horizon.

The album is finally done. An unapologetic celebration of the rich friendship Surahn has with his Disco beginnings as Sidwho? and The Swiss, somehow married to the notion that a singer/ song writer can play acoustic guitar and write real songs, yet be a bass player and dance like someone possessed by the memory of Prince ; just being his funky self.

Surahn has a lot of stories. Some of them are in this album, but many of them are left behind on the countless stages he played around the world as multi instrumentalist for juggernaut bands like Empire Of The Sun, Flight Facilities and Hayden James. His pillars of experience, like working closely with Usher for a few years in the US or his enchanted collaborations with Kimbra, give him credibility as a writer that not many can claim. His unique brand of Soft Rock / Jazz Funk and Disco are on full display here. Using the power of the groove he has crafted a treasure trove of Balearic gems, with the full intention that some of them may possibly be found washed up on a deserted island in decades to come, hopefully sampled into House music anthems of the future.

A deeper look into countless remembered and forgotten Soft Rock & Jazz Funk artists reveals a tradition of recording music using the very best of instruments, tones and studio techniques to craft memorable songs that feel as equally at home on the dance floor as they do in the car. The willingness to hold a groove, to place a solo, to reach for a horn harmony and allow the music to breathe is what will allow this album to age well, like the fine wines he makes and the slow path he takes, Surahn truly is a musical enigma
